Staff Report on March 23, 2010
Arsonists target eastside

Alyssa Marie Bargsley, 17, of Kyle, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010.

Our baby girl was called home by our Lord and Savior way too soon for those of us who remain. Alyssa was a vibrant and spirited young lady who lit up any room with her beautiful smile and outgoing personality. She had goals and ambitions for life that she will not achieve including graduating from Hays High School, the same school from which her mother graduated. Although she was unable to complete her goals and aspirations here on earth they will be fulfilled in the arms of our Heavenly Father. She’ll forever remain a bright light in our memories and will always be her daddy’s little girl, her momma’s angel princess and her brother’s “Fitch” and “Balilah.”

Proceeded in death by grandparents, Evelyn and Henry Bargsley and Alice and H.G. “Beans” Elsner and cousin, Rachael Elsner.

Survivors are parents, Randy and Glenna Bargsley; brothers, Austin Bargsley, Brian Kindred, Jason Bargsley and Joshua Bargsley; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends that were as close as family.

A candlelight vigil was held at Buda City Park Tuesday, May 4, 2010.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Harrell Funeral Home, Kyle. Recital of the Holy Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, May 6 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Kyle, with Father Howard Goertz officiating. Burial will follow at Phillips Cemetery in Dripping Springs.

Memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund in the memory of Alyssa at Jack C. Hays High School, 4800 Jack C. Hays Trail, Buda, TX 78610.
