Marilyn Green Day, 70, of Buda, passed away on Sunday, June 26. Marilyn was born on January 13, 1941 in Buda, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Day, her parents, Wyatt and Ada Green, and her brother, John Wyatt Green. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Marla Lea Day; her sister, Paula Michaud and husband, Pete; her brother, Ray Green and wife, Patty; niece, Sandi Patino and husband, Homer; and nephew, Steven Green and wife, Heather.

Marilyn taught typing, bookkeeping and art for many years at Hays High School and was beloved by her students. After retiring, she traveled extensively throughout the world with her husband, legendary steel guitarist, Jimmy Day.

Family will receive friends, followed by funeral services, on Wednesday, June 29 in the Pennington Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Barton Cemetery in Buda.
