Just as in the past 118 years, the Camp Ben McCulloch Confederate Reunion has been held on the banks of Onion Creek near Driftwood and this year’s reunion gets underway this Friday, June 20. Bingo will be played five nights (Friday, Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Dances will start at 9 p.m. and play until 1 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, Wednesday, Thursday and the last Friday night. People’s Choice will play the first Friday and again on Thursday night. The Michael Myers Band will play on Saturday night. Wednesday night the band is Hot Texas Swing and the last Friday Keen Country Band will play.

Don’t miss getting tickets for the annual Casino Night at Onion Creek Senior Citizens to be held Saturday, June 28 beginning with check in at 6:30 p.m. and ending with prizes given away at 10 p.m. There will be food and prizes along with the many games. Also don’t miss the Country & Western dance at the Onion Creek Senior Center this Thursday night. The band this month is Off the Grid with dancing from 6 until 9 p.m. The kitchen will be open from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. for food and drinks. The dance is open to the public at 420 Barton’s Crossing.
