Staff Report
So, you think you know football? Well, we’ve got a challenge for you.
Beginning this week, the Hays Free Press is bringing back Power Points, a nationwide football contest that pits local readers against other newspaper readers from around the country.
We’ll back one local winner each week, and there is a $1,000 prize winner nationwide each week for the next 17 weeks.
Just clip out the Power Points form and rank the teams you believe will win, from 16 down to one. Note your surest winner on the 16-point line, and the least sure winner on the one-point line. Then bring that form in to either of our offices – Kyle or Buda – by 2 p.m. each Thursday. If you’re in the area, you can take the form to the Pizza Cave in Dripping Springs or San Angel Mexican Bar and Grill in Wimberley, also. We’ll collect the boxes at 2 p.m., send them in to the national firm, and announce the local winner in the next week’s newspaper.
It’s easy and it’s free. Pick up a Hays Free Press and clip out your form and get your picks in each week.
Don’t be late. The forms must be received in the offices by 2 p.m. Thursday.
