Fire Fest was really hot just like it should be and very crowded with folks of all ages having a great time. Thanks, Buda firemen, for bringing the event back to our town.

The Onion Creek Senior Center had the pleasure of hosting the noon meal on Labor Day for some of the Paralyzed Veterans and Wounded Warriors. It was all in conjunction with the annual Veterans Hill Country Dove Hunt held on Monday at the Kolodzey farm east of Buda. All of the many sponsors and helpers of this event were truly blessed with being able to honor our veterans.

The public is invited to join the folks at Buda United Methodist Church on Saturday, Sept. 13, for a free fish fry. Serving will start at 4 p.m The church is located just two blocks off Main Street on Elm Street.
