How can you help your school be no place for hate?

Have you ever wondered how you can help your school be no place for hate? Well if so here’s how you can help.

first of all don’t be the bully or the bystander be the one who tells the bully to stop, stand up for yourself don’t let the bully bring you down. Say your on the playground and you see someone getting bullied or being a bully go up to the bully and stand up for yourself or your friend, like I said before don’t be a bystander be the one to tell the bully ”Hey that’s not cool you shouldn’t bully others.” then maybe the bully will stop.  another thing you could do to make your school no place for hate is tell the person that’s always getting bullyed to ignore the bully and walk away from the situation don’t let the bully control you. And if the bully tryes to hurt you in any way thats when you tell a teacher or a trusted adult. but if the bully is Just Saying you cant play with them, Well just walk away and play With other friends. If your ever in the hallways at school and you see a bully trying to hurt someone go get an adult to help with the problem and it will soon be over. But always remember Dont stand by stand up!

— Abbie Leonard, 4th Grade

Kindness is when you’re being nice, caring, loving and respectful to people. To promote kindness in school, I have to set exmaples to others. Firstly, I have to be nice, loving and caring toward people. For example, I can show kindness by helping people, like when my friend asked me to assist him with his science project, I will do it without complaining. I can promote kindness by sharing my snacks with my Friends, giving out my pocket money to help the alphans, the poor or for a good project in school. I will be ready to give helping hand to anybody that needs help. Secondly I, will promote kindness by showing respect to other, obeying my teacher’s rules, the school rules and encouraging my friends to do the same. I will respect everybody around me. Last but not the least I will promote kindness by not being mean to people. I will discourage student who bully other student by advising them not to do so. I will respect everybody around me. It is good to promote kindness because when you are kind everybody will like to be around you, everybody will be nice to you and you will feel happy with you self.

— Raphael Siewen, 4th grade
