The commitment of Chapa Middle School teacher Terry Prindible extends beyond the confines of the four walls of her classroom. She helped the school receive funding from the JJ Watts Foundation – yes, the Houston Texan football player — to supplement and improve the Cougars’ athletic supplies and uniforms. The foundation provided $11,624.77. Here, Prindible posses with students and coaches from Chapa while holding the oversized check. Her belief in her students is summed up in the signature in her school email: “Don’t tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon.” (Photo by Jim Cullen)
