A new champion has emerged as the destination for Kyle and Buda residents to wet their whistles.
Willie’s Joint, located along Main Street in Buda, shot to the top of the list in March as the highest alcohol seller between the two cities. The bar and grill, which opened its doors in summer 2014, replaces Casa Garcia’s in Kyle, which up until January 2015 had dominated the alcohol scene in the area.
In January, EVO Entertainment claimed the top spot by raking in roughly $61,500 in alcohol sales.
Despite losing its top dog status twice in three months, Garcia’s continues to stay consistent in alcohol sales. Between January and March, Garcia’s amassed over $50,000 in alcohol sales for each month.
Pinballz Kingdom, which opened in November 2014, holds its spot in the top half of alcohol sales in Kyle and Buda. Meanwhile, Desperados Dance Hall along Center Street has slowly risen up the ranks, taking the sixth spot.
In San Marcos, businesses continue to shift within the top ten list of alcohol sellers in the city.
Zelick’s sped up the chart, moving its way from third to the top alcohol seller in the city. The business shot past The Marc and Pluckers, which held the top two positions in alcohol sales in February.
Improving its position on the list was the Tap Room, which claimed the third most alcohol sales in San Marcos in March.
Falling out of the list was San Marcos ES Catering and Sean Patrick’s, which fell out of the top ten list.
