Foundation funds $5K Fusion grant for Sanchez

The Hays Education Foundation got in on the fun at – and support for – the district Fusion Conference at Simon Middle School, awarding a $5,000 grant to Hemphill Elementary teacher Jorge Sanchez and his “Student Drivers” (iPad) proposal. The foundation grant will fund a full set of iPads for the Hawk teacher’s fourth grade classroom. Posing with the jumbo check are (L-R) Sanchez and Education Foundation Board members Jason Dixon and Michelle Lopez, and Foundation Executive Director Angie Mendez. (Courtesy photo)
