Staff Report on September 17, 2015
Lehman NJROTC helps in hosting Veterans Court Graduation ceremony

Lehman HS NJROTC participated in the Central Texas Medical Center 9/11 Memorial Luncheon. The cadets greeted guests and sat them at their tables. They were then able to listen to several guest speakers, including the Mayor of San Marcos Daniel Guerrero, San Marcos Police Chief Chase Stapp, San Marcos Fire Department Fire Chief Les Stephens, the Texas House member from District 45, Rep Jason Isaac, and special guest speaker Stuart W. Bowen, inspector general of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. On 9/11, Mr. Bowen was the Deputy Assistant to President George W. Bush and the Deputy Staff Secretary and Special Assistant to the President. Mr. Bowen was present in the West Wing of the White House during the attacks, and gave a very insightful speech to the events occurring in the White House during and subsequent days after the attacks on 9/11.
