Staff Report on November 4, 2015
Patricia J. Brown

Patricia J. Brown was welcomed into the Lords arms October 21, 2015.  “Pat” is survived by her children; Randy Brown and wife Sandra Paris Brown, Terri Brown and husband Rusty Hough and Judy Branson, also grandchildren; Jordan, Nicole, Terra, Zachery, Taylor and Gracie.

Pat was born in Chicago, Illinois October 5, 1931 but raised in Ohio. She graduated from Lodi High School in 1949 and then went to Otterbein College, was accepted into the nurses training at a hospital in Canton, OH and then worked in the operating room at Lodi Community Hospital.

In 1956 she married John H. Brown and in 1960 they moved west to Arizona. She continued her education at ASU receiving her BSN. She loved being an operating room nurse but wanted normal hours to raise her three children.  She left hospital nursing in 1967 and started working as a school nurse. She remained a school nurse until she retired but continued working as a substitute nurse.  She also joined the Arizona Archaeological Society which she loved very much.

In 2004 Pat moved to McKinleyville, CA to live with son Randy and his wife Sandy.  She loved working in the garden and walking the dog Gus.

In 2013 she joined daughter Terri and family in Buda, TX.  She enjoyed the warmer climate and sitting on the patio and watching the squirrels.

A small celebration of life will be held at the home of Terri and Rusty’s home in Buda on Sunday November 8 from 2-4 p.m.  Pats remains will be taken back Ohio to join her parents in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.

Alzheimer’s disease is a terrible illness, it “takes” your loved one before it takes your loved one.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
