Texas State student assaulted by suspect in clown costume

 

Staff report 

Texas State University is investigating an incident where a female student was attacked by a suspect who was dressed as a clown at the Bobcat Village apartments Monday night. 

According to a post on the Texas State Twitter page, Texas State University Police received a report Tuesday of an assault that occurred around 7 p.m. Monday evening. 

The suspect, who is approximately 6’2″ tall with an athletic build, was observed wearing a clown costume that was described as a black-and-white striped jumpsuit. The suspect was wearing a green wig and had their face painted white with black around the eyes. 

According to the release, the suspect grabbed the victim, with the victim pulling away and leaving the area. The suspect departed in an unknown direction. An active investigation is ongoing.

University Police ask for people to be aware of thier surroundings and the peopel around them. Anyone who sees anything that is suspicious or out of place is asked contact the University Police Department at 512.245.2805.
