State meet in reach for Rebel cross country

The UIL cross country state meet is within reach for Hays High junior Gabby Bosquez after finishing third in the Girls 5,000 meter run at the District 25-6A Championships Oct. 20 at Old Settlers Park. Bosquez, who finished with a time of 19:19.30, highlighted the Hays Rebel cross country team’s outing at the district meet. Bosquez advances to race in the UIL Class 6A, Region IV championships at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Other top finishers were Megan Gilliam, who finished with a time of 21:01.30 in the girls race, along with Daniel Garraway, who finished the boys race in 17:11.90. (Photo by Sarah Ashworth)
