Five family pets were killed Christmas Day after a major fire at a home in the Spring Branch subdivision.
However, Kyle Taylor, Kyle Fire Department chief, said crews were able to revive one animal back to life after arriving on scene.
Crews were dispatched at 10:29 p.m. Dec. 25 to the 200 block of Fall Creek Drive for a fire, Taylor said. The home suffered “major smoke and heat damage,” Taylor said. An exact estimate of the damage is unknown at this time.

No residents of the home or firefighters were injured in the blaze. The Hays County Fire Marshals office is investigating the fire.
