Kyle reminds residents to be ‘bat aware after animal tests positive for rabies
On Feb. 21 a deceased bat was found at approximately 3:30 p.m. on the property of 575 E RR 150. The bat was tested by the Department of State Health Services and was found to be positive for rabies.
The city of Kyle reminds all residents to never touch or handle grounded pets, teach children to avoid and report bats found on the ground and to keep pets vaccinated against rabies.
