One of the premiere Division I historically black college football programs in the country will be the destination for Lehman High senior Micah Torres-Whitmer next fall.
As part of a virtual May 7 letter-of-intent signing ceremony, Torres-Whitmer signed to continue his football career at Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana. As part of a virtual May 7 letter-of-intent signing ceremony, Torres-Whitmer signed to continue his football career at Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana. Joining in on the call were various friends and family, as well as Lehman High athletic coordinator and head football coach Bruce Salmon.
Torres-Whitmer, a two-year letter winner as a deep snapper with the Lobo varsity football program, finished his career with a 96% success rate on snaps. In addition, Torres-Whitmer was named as an honorable mention deep snapper to the 25-6A All-District team. Grambling competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
