Willie Daniel Donaghe (1943-2021)
Obituaries
Staff Report, on March 11, 2021
Willie Daniel Donaghe (1943-2021)

Willie “Will” Donaghe left his earthly home on March 7, 2021, at the age of 77.  Surrounded by his wife and two daughters, Will peacefully entered his eternal home, leaving behind memories and family that will carry his legacy on for decades to come.

Will was born in Brownfield, Texas on October 2, 1943, to the late Frank and Mable Donaghe.  He was the second oldest of four children.  He grew up in Guymon, Oklahoma; Andrews, and Odessa, Texas. He graduated from Odessa High School.

He met the love of his life, Alma Jewel Walton, and married her just three months later on October 28, 1967. The beloved couple would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary this year.

After living in Odessa, Dallas, and Austin, Will and his wife raised their two daughters in Dripping Springs, before retiring to Austin and later to Georgetown where he focused on their grandchildren.

Will had a successful career in the HVAC industry as well as owning a facility management company for 23 years. One of the properties he managed was Starwood Hotels & Resorts Call Center in Austin.  He was lovingly referred to as a MacGyver; fixer of anything and he was a very skilled carpenter.

His faith and love of Jesus Christ was especially important to him.  He was an ordained deacon at Northwest Baptist Church in Austin and later joined Crestview Baptist Church in Georgetown.

He is survived by his loving wife Alma Walton Donaghe; two adored daughters:  Tara Donaghe Barnikow (Karl), Carmen Donaghe Wolfe (Joe); seven treasured grandchildren:  Noah, Laina and Logan Barnikow; and Elijah, Dylan, Zachary, and Ella Wolfe; older brother, Morrison Donaghe, and two younger sisters, Betty Kirby and Joy Vestal.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life service to be held in April, all details will be posted on families Facebook pages soon.
