Kenneth Dean Poehl (1953-2021)
Obituaries
Staff Report, on September 20, 2021
Kenneth Dean Poehl (1953-2021)

Kenneth Dean Poehl, of Dripping Springs, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the age of 67 years, to live with his Heavenly Father. He is survived by his wife, Ann, whom he was married to for 43 years as of September 16, 2021. Additionally, he is survived by his two daughters Amy Stanaland and Heather Rios and their husbands Clayton Stanaland and George Rios. He deeply loved his three granddaughters, Abigail, Avery and Allison Stanaland and they will always cherish their memories with him. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Barbara Reinhardt, and two sisters Cindy Nehring and Debi Miller and their families. He’s preceded in death by his fathers Kenneth Poehl and Elmer (Butch) Reinhardt.

Kenny was born on October 23, 1953, in Austin, TX to Kenneth Poehl and Barbara Reinhardt.  He spent his years growing up with a baseball bat always in his hand and a fishing rod in the other. Oh how he loved both sports. Kenny’s greatest joys in life were spent outdoors with family and friends. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing in bass clubs, deer and bird hunting, and would not miss his grandkids softball practices, lessons and games for anything. He also took great pride in caring for his lawn, garden and fruit trees and always shared the produce with family.

Kenny, his wife and family enjoyed traveling adventures. They enjoyed fishing on local lakes and traveling to Colorado – all to get that “big” fish.  Their most treasured adventure was on a cruise ship up the Alaskan Inside Passage with best of friends.

Providing for his family was of utmost importance to Kenny. He was a diligent, hard worker who prided himself in quality workmanship and getting the job done. Kenny will be remembered for how deeply he loved and was loved by his family and friends. His ability to take charge of life and get things done will live on in his wife, daughters, and grandchildren for all the years to come.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM to 7:00PM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX.  Funeral Services will be 10:00AM on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Harrell Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Phillips Cemetery in Dripping Springs.

Condolences may be sent to: www.harrellfuneralhomes.com.
