Victor Archuleta Corralejo (1964-2022)
Obituaries
Staff Report, on January 6, 2022
Victor Archuleta Corralejo (1964-2022)

Victor, 57, was born April 16, 1964 in El Paso, Texas. He was the youngest of six children born to Placido and Ramona (Archuleta) Corralejo.

Victor moved on from this earth to be part of something greater on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2022. Having lived a life of adventure, he spread love to any person he came in contact with.

Victor adored his brothers and sister, and he loved his parents to an extent few of us will ever be able to understand. He was a father, a husband, a friend to many, a creative mind, a passionate man, and firmly dedicated to anything he set his mind on or gave his word for. His family was as big as his heart and his friends were family to him.

Victor spent a good portion of this life in Texas, then Minnesota, and eventually settled back home in Texas.

He loved everything outdoors; football and baseball, vintage cars, history and all music under the sun. He taught his sons how to fish, how to camp, how to love, and how to be a gentleman as well as how to love any person. Victor also enjoyed working with his hands; in the yard, building, creating, and using his genius as far as he could take it. Victor was a brilliant individual that not many of us are fortunate to meet often.

In pain, and loss, and suffering, we can lose ourselves. Victor let us know so many times that is not what he wanted when God would ask for him to come home. Instead, prayers and blessings, and remembrance of the laughter and selfless love Victor always provided to all he touched with his selfless care.

Victor is survived by his wife of 7 years Mina (Ocasio) Corralejo and her family of Lockhart Texas, sons Allen and Aaron Corralejo of Austin Texas, sister Mimi Quintero, brothers Armando and Francisco Corralejo, one grandson, first wife of 27 years Susie Mainer, and her mother Ginger Kettwig of Texarkana Texas, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Humberto and Placido Corralejo Jr., brother-in-law Johnny Quintero, nephew John Quintero Jr. and father-in-law, and great friend, Jim Kettwig.

At the time of his death Victor was a supervisor for United Parcel Service (UPS) in San Marcos Texas for 22 years. Family memorials in El Paso, Texas and Waseca, Minnesota will be held at a later date.
