KYLE — On Dec. 12, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office received a referral from Child Protective Services (CPS) in reference to a child sex assault victim in Kyle.
Detectives initiated an investigation which produced evidence that led to warrants being issued for 20-year-old Keshawn Kyle French-Burton for sexual assault of a child and trafficking of persons.
French-Burton was also arrested by Austin Police officers for three counts of sexual assault of a child. Over the course of the investigation, HCSO detectives learned that the suspect would message his victims through Snapchat and convince them to meet with him in person, where he would then allegedly sexually assault them, according to a HCSO news release.
The investigation is still active and more charges may follow. Those who have information regarding this incident are asked to contact Detective Garrett Dominguez at 512-393-2285 or garrett.dominguez@hayscountytx.gov or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously by calling 1-800-324-8477 from anywhere in the U.S. or through the Tip Line at www.P3tips.com.
