KYLE – Jeremy Thoman, sixth grade math teacher at Chapa Middle School, was one of 10 educators who was recognized as a Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) Teacher Spotlight Award winner.
PEC announced its Teacher Spotlight Award winners earlier in May and delivered gift baskets filled with wish list items and learning materials to support classroom learning. Ten teachers from pre-K through high school were recognized in this round of awards. Each winner received a personalized basket stocked with their favorite treats, school supplies, educational games and other helpful learning materials they requested.
Co-op staff presented the baskets as a thank you to the teachers for their dedication to their students and the community.
“One of the neatest things we get to do as a Cooperative is to come together and support our teachers who are helping to improve the future of our communities,” said Kevyn Packer, PEC community outreach specialist. “We couldn’t be more excited to surprise them and show how grateful we are for their hard work and dedication.”
