UPDATE
Authorities believe a man has barricaded himself inside his home after he allegedly shot his wife, according to a city of Buda press release.
The suspect has been identified as Sejdalija Smajic, 53.
The victim, identified as Medra Smajic, was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge where she is undergoing surgery Her injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.
According to the release, they discovered a woman lying in the front yard of a home on Fletcher Bend. She had been shot twice.
Police and Hays County SWAT set up a perimeter around the home no contact has been made with the suspect at this time.

An active SWAT situation is developing on Fletcher Bend in the Garlic Creek subdivision for a possible barricaded subject, according to a city of Buda press release.
According to the release, authorities were dispatched aroud 4:30 p.m. Wednesday for a disturbance on Fletcher Bend.
At this time, SWAT is on the scene for a possible barricaded subject. According to the release, there is a language barrier and police were awaiting a translator. Some homes have been evacuated in the area.
