Youth gives back to animal shelter

Where most nine-year-olds clamor for toys or electronics when it comes to birthday presents, Cameron Castillo of Kyle instead asked for treats and kibble. It was all part of Castillo’s plan to donate items to the Kyle area PAWS animal shelter for his ninth birthday on Jan. 12. According to family, Castillo collected over 50 items for the shelter, which ranged from dog and cat food, litter, treats, toys and donations to the office staff. (courtesy photo)
