The Kyle Police Department responded to a call Thursday morning to Austin Regional Clinic in Kyle where an elderly white male was found dead in the parking lot.
Public Information Officer Kim Hilsenbeck said the man discovered deceased around 7:30 a.m. in the parking lot. The identity of the man has not yet been released.
Hilsenbeck said there was a gun found on scene, but said police did not suspect that foul play was involved.
Hays County Precinct No. 2 Justice of the Peace Judge Beth Smith was on scene Thursday. Hilsenbeck confirmed that the victim's next-of-kin have been notified.
The Kyle Police Department is investigating.
