U.S. Congressman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) congratulated Hays High School senior Gracie Sierra Hough of Buda on her acceptance into the United States Naval Academy. Smith nominated Hough, the daughter of Russell James Hough and Terri Brown, for the appointment to Annapolis. While Rep. Smith had the official honor of making the announcement, there was plenty of local celebration under way at Hays High School.
