Westlake ends Rebel win streak 7-3

The Hays Rebels hosted the Westlake Chaparrals Tuesday in a district baseball game filled with hits, but also mistakes.

Westlake came away with a 7-3 win over Hays, which snapped the Rebels’ three-game win streak, as the Chaps racked up 13 hits to go along with their five errors.

Westlake started things off in the top of the first inning by getting its lead off batter on base. After a sacrifice bunt, Westlake followed by getting its next four batters on base. Westlake tallied four runs in the first inning as a result of RBIs from Canaan Clark Bateman, Patrick Gilligan, and Daniel Hernandez.
