Most restaurants throughout the United States do not allow pets inside. While health regulations may vary from state to state, most restauranteurs adhere to the federal Food and Drug Administration laws that prohibit live animals (except fish in tanks) in retail establishments where food is served. But for restaurants with outside seating, it is up to the individual restaurant owner whether they allow pets outside or on the patio. Here is a list of local places that do allow dogs. Most require that you have your dog on a leash at all times.
