Plum Creek residents Ting and Gary Van der Wege and their son Arje recently opened Kyle’s first official Little Free Library. The library is a colorfully decorated box that allows patrons to take a book and/or leave a book for others to read. The Van der Weges, along with the Kyle Chamber of Commerce, celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting Sunday at 663 Hogan in the Plum Creek subdivision of Kyle. Chamber Ambassador Sue Ferrell commented, “Kyle, Texas continues to be first in a lot of things. We are all so fortunate to be a part of this ‘moving ahead’ community."
