UPDATE:
Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett said the report of a motorist displaying a possible gun near the Stepping Stone School Thursday was resolved after it was determined the driver was taking photos for his profession.
Barnett said detectives located the truck Sunday and confirmed the driver was a marketing specialist who was in the area taking photographs for his job.
No firearm was displayed and no one was in danger at any time, Barnett said. He added no charges are being filed.
"We are glad that this matter has been resolved," Barnett said.

Kyle Police are investigating an incident where a passing motorist reportedly displayed an item in the direction of a Stepping Stone School employee that was walking into work Thursday morning.
Although the employee was uncertain of the item exhibited by the motorist, Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett said authorities are pursing the investigation to include the possibility of a long firearm “out of an abundance of caution.”
Barnett said authorities received a call around 9 a.m. from an employee who told police that a passing motorist displayed something or pointed something in her direction. The employee said the motorist displayed the item as she was walking to the entrance of the school, which is located along FM 1626 in Kyle.
The witness told police she believed the motorist, described as a white male, was driving an older model blue pickup truck, possibly a GMC.
Officers responded to the area but did not locate a vehicle matching the description provided.
No one was injured in the incident. However, Kyle Police are increasing patrols around the location, Barnett said.
Anyone who may have information on this incident is asked to contact Kyle Police at 512.268.3232.
