A tale of wine and ale: Wimberley Players seek alcohol sales on premises

An ordinance passed by the Wimberley City Council earlier this month could open the door for the Wimberley Players theater group to permit alcohol sales at events and activities at the venue.

“It’s been in the conversation for the players for a long time,” said David Bisset, president of the Wimberley Players. “It’s hard to follow the rules for TABC with an organization like ours because we’re not trying to to be a bar, or sell hard liquor, so we had to go through the city for help.”
