Beginning April 15, the City of Buda will enact a mandatory city- wide Stage Three Water Conservation Period for approximately 45 days. This is due to maintenance improvements to a ground storage water tank. Hand held watering will be allowed on residents’ established watering days.
The use?of automated irrigation systems is strictly prohibited. Waste of water is also prohibited including failing to repair leaks and any irrigation that allows water runoff.
Other restrictions include residential car washing, limited to once weekly on designated day using hand-held bucket. Charity car washing is not allowed unless at a commercial car wash. Filling of new swimming pools is not allowed, non-recirculating water features are prohibited.
Buda officials said there will be zero tolerance during this 45-day period and fines will be issued for noncompliance. Learn more at www. ci.buda.tx.us/waterconservation.
