Local donor kicks off ‘Amplify Austin’ for Hcwc

Of all the charities in Hays County, San Marcos resident Pat Price decided he wanted to amplify the Hays Caldwell Women’s Center (HCWC). He will donate to HCWC through Amplify Austin, a 24-hour online giving campaign. Created several years ago, the event helps nonprofit organizations reach a broad audience and raise what can be a significant amount of funding to support its programs. According to Melissa Rodriguez with HCWC, St. David’s Foundation is matching all donations made to HCWC, making each contribution go twice as far. 

And the need is great, she said.
