Individuals with type 2 diabetes are invited to participate in the upcoming Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes (DWBW) program, offered by the Hays County Diabetes Coalition. This educational program will help people with type 2 diabetes learn the skills they need to understand and manage their diabetes, to reduce risks for complications, and to attain their highest possible level of wellness. This program aims to help people control their diabetes rather than letting the disease control them. The program was developed by the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service health professionals but should not replace physician care. Classes take place from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays March 24 and 31, April 7, 14 and 21 at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in San Marcos. Seating is limited; register by contacting Carrie Standlee, Wesley Nurse at 512-392-6001 ext. 308 or [email protected].
