Sidney Earle Brownlee of Austin, Texas passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015. He was born at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas on Aug. 31, 1931. He was a student at Austin High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a patrolman for the Austin Police Department. He retired from Kwik Wash Laundries in 1996. He was a longtime member of Manchaca Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Loretta Felps Brownlee; brother Ray Murray Brownlee; daughters: Debbie Holder and husband Ken, Holly Gandy and husband Billy, Julie Regan and husband Tom; grandchildren: Ryan and wife Lindsay, Trace, Amanda, Brittany, Taylor and husband Nestor, Tommy, and Cody; great-granddaughter Ava.
Visitation was at Harrell Funeral Home on Frontier Trail Austin, Texas Monday, April 6 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were at Manchaca Baptist Church on FM 1626 in Manchaca, Texas on Tuesday, April 7 at 10 a.m. Graveside service followed at Live Oak Cemetery on Twin Creeks Road, Manchaca, Texas.
