Charles Bohannon – Guard – Hays
Consistency on offense and tenacious defensive play were two of many reasons we at Barton Publications tab Charles Bohannon as our POY. While only a sophomore, Bohannon played far beyond his classification, helping Hays’ offense compete against some of the state’s best teams during their run to the 6A regional quarterfinals. In addition, Bohannon was also named to the 14-6A All-District first team this season; he was the youngest player selected first team All-District in 14-6A. During the Rebels final six games, Bohannon scored an average of 18 points per game, and scored 20 or more points in four of those six contests.
