Tutus and Tennies 5K
Are your craziest tutus ready for the inaugural Tutus and Tennies 5K? The race is Jan. 31 at 7:30 a.m. Entry fees are $15 for kids 10 & under, $25 for adults and kids 11 & up. Early packet pickup is on Friday, Jan. 30 from 4-6 p.m. at the Dance Unlimited Parking lot, 1019 Main in Buda.. Race day packet pickup on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 6:15-7:15 a.m. at the Dance Unlimited parking lot. Walk-up registration available at early packet pickup and race day packet pickup. The Face of Texas at the Witliff
Head to the Witliff Collections from now until March for its first solo exhibition of images by one of America’s premier portrait photographers. In this series, Michael O'Brien celebrates the individuality and independent spirit of Texans – from ordinary folk to the rich and famous, including those born here and those who eventually made Texas home. Writer and former Life reporter Elizabeth O'Brien offers insightful verbal vignettes for the new portraits and also brings us up-to-date with the lives of the rest of the subjects. The Witliff Collection is located on the top floor of the Alkek Library at Texas State University in San Marcos.
