New executive  for food bank

The Hays County Food Bank welcomed Denise Blok as its new executive director. Blok brings more than two decades of nonprofit experience to the food bank, most recently as the Chief Operating Officer for the American Red Cross Central Texas Region, serving 48 counties. Blok received a bachelor of arts degree, in both History and American Studies, from the State University of New York College at Oswego. Raised in a military family, Kyle, Texas is now home. She is the wife of Jon Blok and the mother of two daughters, Madison and Riley.
