Mary Helen Dopp (1926-2015)

Mary Helen Dopp of Kyle, formerly of Granbury, 88, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Kyle. The memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday March 7, 2015 at the First Christian Church of Granbury. Memorials may be made to the church in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Dopp was born October 26, 1926 in Chidister, Arkansas to Albert Scott and Lou Emma Hammonds. She was the oldest of 6. She graduated from Oklahoma State University and moved to Dallas to pursue her career. She met her one true love in a church social group. She married Eugene Lee Dopp on March 6, 1954, and together they had one son. Mrs. Dopp was a top notch wife, mother and homemaker that enjoyed reading, gardening and volunteering at the local hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene and her son, Terry Lee Dopp of Dallas. She is survived by her sister Sylvia Ford of Buda, grandson Daniel Dopp of Buda, granddaughter Tracy Young and husband Ben of Buda and two great granddaughters, Jaci and Jenna Young. Mrs. Dopp was an actively involved great grandmother and had a special way with little ones.

Mrs. Dopp was a devoted member of First Christian Church of Granbury. She lived her life to serve Christ and touched many hearts that will miss her dearly.
