Starlight Symphony performs
Starlight Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert at the Hays Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 22, 4 p.m., at Texas State University’s Evans Auditorium. Grief Support Group
Buda United Methodist Church provides a four-week support group for persons who have experienced a death in their circle of family and friends. During the sessions, participants will gain an understanding of their particular grief, explore the nature of the grieving process, tap into social, emotional and spiritual resources, and work on regaining a sense of balance and connection. Army ROTC Polar Bear Plunge
Join the Army ROTC at Texas State University for a dip in the San Marcos River in support of an organization that helps local veterans. This is a charity event hosted by Texas State Army ROTC in support of Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org). Tickets available for purchase at the ROTC Adamson Building on Texas State’s campus located at 101 Lueders Drive (across from the Child Development Center). All proceeds support the local chapter of Disabled American Veterans. The Army ROTC Polar Bear Plunge takes place at 1 p.m. Feb. 28 at Sewell Park in San Marcos.
Concerts for a Cause kick-off
The first show of the 2015 season of Concerts for A Cause will be a benefit FOR Concerts for a Cause featuring DC Bloom in order to raise the funds in order for them to gain a not-for-profit status and be able to put on this concert series for years to come. It will also be a launch of our venue partnership with Down South Railhouse located at 107 E Center St, Kyle, TX 78640. The event is from 5-8 p.m on Macrh 14.
