The search for two men who fled on foot following a traffic stop has been discontinued in the area of Posey Road and County Road 266. According to the HCSO, there is no continued threat to the community from the incident.
They ask anyone with information regarding the incident or the identity of the two suspects to contact law enforcement.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the San Marcos Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety in searching for two Hispanic men that evaded detention Thursday.
According to information from the HCSO, the suspects attempted to drive off during a traffic stop. They ultimately abandoned their vehicle – a black Ford pickup truck that had a lift, black rims and dark tint.
One man was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans with a cap and tennis shoes. The second person was wearing a dark shirt and unknown color pants. They were last seen on foot in the area of Posey Road on Old Bastrop Highway in San Marcos.
Authorities ask anyone with information about these subjects, including their location or identity, to contact 911 immediately.
