Michael Wayne Cox, age 72 of Kyle, TX died June 30, 2015, at Christus Santa Rosa Westover Hills Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Michael was born Aug. 13, 1942, in Lampasas, TX, the son of George Washington Cox and Ora Faye (Wilson) Cox.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years until his retirement as a MSGT. After Michael’s retirement he worked for the Federal Aviation Administration in mechanical communications. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia Cox, sons, Mike Cox, Jr. and Lance Croix, Francisco Ybarra, Zackary Devrow, and Robert Devrow, daughters, Mary Alice Murphy, Susie R. Chapa, and Rebecca Ann Cox, a brother, Mark Cox, sisters Carolyn Morrison and Nancy Borum and numerous grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held Tuesday July 7, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial followed at Kempner Cemetery in Kempner, TX.
