Do you have historic photos of Kyle or Hays County? Bring them to Kyle City Hall from 1-5 p.m. on Sept. 27 to contribute to the recording of Hays County history. The Hays County Historical Commission will scan and return them while you wait.
Contributors wanted for carnival
Silent auction items and vendors of any kind wanted for Oct. 3 carnival at Hays YMCA. Have your own booth or sponsor a game. $50 for a vendor spot. Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Local law enforcement and area schools will work together in October to increase awareness of relationship violence. High school football players will wear the national symbol representing the campaign of the “Purple Ribbon” on their helmets for the 2015 football season. Volunteers will attend a designated football game to disseminate informational brochures targeting dating and family violence awareness. Announcements will be made before and during the game.
