Blanco River Flood Relief Fest
Want to support local flood victims? Get your tickets to the Blanco River Flood Relief Fest. Enjoy performances on three stages from more than 15 bands including headliner Hal Ketchum. General admission tickets are $25, kids under 12 are free – they can also enjoy the bounce house and other kids activities. The Dripping Springs Lions Club will donate $25 for every ticket sold up to $25,000. VIP tickets are available for $75; there are only 150 of those available. There will also be a silent auction with prizes including an autographed guitar signed by Willie Nelson, family passes to the Hill Country Science Mill, a gift basket from Dripping Springs Vodka, and a two-day stay at McClay Vacation Rentals in Wimberley.
Food and drink will be available to purchase at discounted pricing. A full 100 percent of the proceeds from this festival will go to neighbors in need through the Austin Disaster Relief Network. Edward Burleson: Soldier and Statesman
Travel through two decades of Texas history, encompassing the early days of the Republic of Texas, the path to statehood and the founding of Hays County, during the June 14 screening of Edward Burleson: Soldier and Statesman, the newest documentary film by the Hays County Historical Commission.
Sponsored by the Heritage Association of San Marcos, the film and popcorn are free of charge. Doors will open at 2 p.m. at the the Marc Theatre, located at 120 E. San Antonio Street (South Side of the Square).
