An elderly couple was found dead Tuesday morning after an apparent murder, suicide inside of a private hospital room at Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC).
According to media reports, San Marcos Police responded to the hospital at 7:49 a.m. when the daughter of an 85-year-old woman found her mother and an 87-year-old man shot dead in her mother's hospital room.
City of San Marcos officials believe there is no ongoing threat to the public. In addtion, police officers were not involved in the shooting, nor are they looking for a suspect.
