Gwen Celine (Kisner) Lewis, of Buda, Texas, passed away on July 29, 2015. She was born on June 29, 1957, in England to Stanley Kisner and the late Rona (Mallon) Kisner.
She is survived by her father, Stanley Kisner, sister, Danae Stevens, daughter, Ashley Garza; and granddaughter, Lydia Garza.
Gwen was strong and independent, clever and incredibly resourceful. She was a natural teacher, whether it was working with horses or teaching in school. She was amazing at solving problems and had such an uncanny ability to understand people. She was always willing to listen, always had the perfect advice and always knew just when she should, or should not, share that advice. Gwen was generous and selfless, always willing to help any way she could. She will be forever missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Beck Funeral Home, Austin, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amnesty International, in memory of Gwen Lewis.
