Silver alert issued for man last seen in Wimberley

The Hays County Sheriff's Office is searching for a elderly man who was last seen in Wimberley early Friday morning.  


Officials have issued a silver alert for James A. Stowe, Jr., 74, who was last seen at 6:30 a.m. Friday in Wimberley. According to officials, Stowe was last seen driving a Maroon 1994 Nissan Quest XE with Texas License Plate 8BCVJ. 


Stowe (DOB 8/27/1940) is described as a white male with white hair, brown eyes and has two vertical surgical scars on both knees. According to officials, he has been diagnosed with a cognitive impairment. Stowe is 6-feet tall and weights 200 pounds. 


Law enforcement officals believe Stowe's disappearance poses a credible threat to his own health and safety.
