The 2nd Annual Governor’s Small Business Forum was held in San Marcos in late August.
The forum had four break out sessions led by the expert panelists, ranging in topics from “So You’re a Seedling: Growing Your Own Firm” to “Companion Planting: Connecting the Clusters.”
The Governor’s Small Business Award recognized small businesses for their investment or employment growth and remarkable accomplishments. Several businesses from Hays and Caldwell counties were honored at the forum. Local residents sent in nominations and voted for the businesses that made an impact in their community. The winners were decided by popular vote and announced at the forum’s luncheon. Shown here are Jardine’s President and CEO Bobby McGee (fourth from the right) and Vice President of Operations Mike Knuth (second from the right).
