A game-high nine kills from junior outside hitter Hailee Morton guided the Hays Rebel volleyball team to a 25-20, 26-24, 25-14 win over the Austin Maroons Tuesday at Bales Gym. Supporting Morton was junior middle blocker Callie Britton’s 14 digs. Junior Mackenzie Coates and senior Chloe Giberson scored three blocks each. While Coates, along with sophomore Kaitlyn Krafka and junior Ashley Slovak had eight digs. Krafka tallied seven aces. Hays will play at Lake Travis on Friday, followed by its match at Westlake on Sept. 15.
