In 1968, Louis and Nell Anderson moved into the little house across the street from Antioch Cemetery on Old Black Colony Road in Buda. After 47 years, Mrs. Anderson moved to a new home today. She moved to a retirement home in Buda.
Louis Anderson was a truck driver. Nell Anderson, a graduate of Austin Community College, worked as a “unit or ward clerk” for a hospital. She went on to work as a nurse’s assistant, and then in childcare at Woodlawn Baptist, Manchaca Methodist, and Buda United Methodist churches.
After her husband’s death in 1984, Mrs. Anderson continued to live in their home for 31 years on her own with her Chows. She said she had up to four dogs at a time and never had any problems.
