Clifford A. Williams, Jr., 81, of Kyle, TX, formerly of Springfield, Illinois died on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at his residence. Clifford was born on September 30, 1933 in Springfield, IL the son of Clifford A. and Florence Helen Roland Williams Sr.
He married Wanda Mae Klespitz; she preceded him in death in December 1983. He later married Elizabeth M. Woodruff on June 6, 1987 in Riverton, IL. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for Central Illinois Light Company retiring in 1988 after 33 years of service. He was past member of St. James Catholic Church in Riverton, IL, St. Anthony de Claret Catholic Church in Kyle, TX and St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Cedar Park, TX. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Delores Levine; and one stepson, William Buedel.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Mary Williams of Kyle, TX, formerly of Springfield; two daughters, Patricia L. Fox of Springfield, IL and Julie (Jeff) Schall of York, NE; one son, Rick (Pam) Williams of Decatur, IL; one stepdaughter, Susan (Robert) Welch of Wimberley, TX; step daughter-in-law, Carol Buedel Weaver; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. David Lantz officiating. Burial followed at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, IllinoisÂ
